Alabama Theatre

 

The Alabama Theatre remains at the forefront of entertainment venues on the East Coast with Gaylord Entertainment continuing to produce their signature shows ONE The New Show and The South's Grandest Christmas Show.  The Guest Artist Concert Series also brings in top touring acts once a week like Alabama, Bill Cosby, Vince Gill, Josh Turner, Engelbert Humperdinck, Temptations & Four Tops and many more.  The Theatre was recently nominated for the Country Music Association's Venue of the Year award.

The Alabama Theatre is proud to have been voted the Best Live Entertainment Theatre in Myrtle Beach by both visitors and locals numerous times. Sky Wheel

 

SkyWheel is a 187-foot tall Ferris wheel in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. When it opened on 20 May 2011 it was the second-tallest extant Ferris wheel in North America, after the 212-foot Texas Star in in Dallas, Texas and the tallest wheel in the United States east of the Mississippi River.

 

Skywheel has "42 glass-enclosed, temperature controlled gondolas" described as "ballooned-out square", each with seating for six passengers. Unrelated people are not required to sit together.

 

The wheel operates year-round. Though the wheel itself can withstand 135 MPH winds.

The Carolina Opry

Voted Best Shows in Myrtle Beach Every Year!

 

The Carolina Opry opened in Surfside Beach, South Carolina in 1986 and was founded by singer, producer and entrepreneur, Calvin Gilmore. The original venue was a 1,000 seat theater located one block from Main Street in Surfside Beach. As shows began to sell out nightly, a second show was opened in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as The Dixie Jubilee. Both shows began to sell out nightly and in 1993, the shows were consolidated under The Carolina Opry name in a new 2,200 seat theater located at the intersection of Highway 17 Business and Highway 17 Bypass next to the Pirates Voyage Fun, Feast & Adventure dinner theater in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
